On July 10th, 2017 Oregon's grace period in complying with the federal Real ID act will end. This means that Oregon IDs will no longer be accepted at federal facilities.

On January 22, 2018 Real ID compliant IDs will be needed to fly domestically in the United States.

Many states, including Oregon, do not offer Real ID compliant IDs. It is more important than ever to have a alternate ID available in case Oregon fails to meet Real ID requirements.
